Bôfumeiro is a company based on the city of Bragança which started up its activity iun 2011. Bôfumeiro is involved in the manufacture and commercialisation of fumeiro smoked sausage endowed with typically regional characteristics. Besides producing alheira sausages, we are dedicated to the production of other regional sausages such as Salami, Sweet Sausage, Azedo sausage, Butelo sausage, Meat Sausage, Spanish Chourizo and French Chourizo.

  • Chouriço Doce (Sweet Sausage)

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Smoke-cured sausage formed by the salt, oil and onion stock, mixed with wheat bread, honey, sugar, cinammon and pig's blood.
    It is filled with cow tripe and individualised by tying manually with cotton thread or mechnically using a staple for food use. Chestnut smoked, duly dried and free of any strange odours.


    MODE OF PREPARATION: Prepare only before consuming, to eat it raw it must be totally dry.

    It is sausage made from a base of pork meat, bone and cartilage.

  • Alheira sausage

    Product made in the old style with the most traditional flavours of Trás-os-Montes.
    It is recommended that it should be made in a frying pan on a low light, making some small holes with a cocktail stick,so it won't burst.
    Alheira sausage is now made in various ways and used by major Chefs to make the best dishes.
